Trance Party

By Jeffrey M. Anderson

In the 23rd century cop Jack Deth (Tim Thomerson) is on the trail of the evil Whistler (Michael Stefani), who turns people into mindless "trancers" that carry out his sinister orders. Whistler travels back in time to the 1980s and takes over the body of one of his ancestors, a detective. Deth does the same, becoming journalist Phil Dethton. With help from the cute Leena (21-year-old future Oscar-winner Helen Hunt), Deth goes on the hunt. Running only 76 minutes, a good chunk of this scrappy, fun, low-budget movie takes place at Christmastime and features festive imagery and songs.
