It's a Mollusk World

This delightful feature film purportedly tells the story of how filmmaker Dean Fleischer Camp (whose voice is heard on the soundtrack) met one-inch-tall mollusk Marcel (voiced by Jenny Slate) in an Airbnb and began shooting the first of his viral YouTube videos. His subsequent popularity makes him miss his family members, who were carried away while hiding in a sock drawer. The film manages to be, by turns, adorable, hilarious, and bittersweet, much of this effect stemming from Slate's gentle voicework. Isabella Rossellini provides the voice of Marcel's grandmother.
