By Jeffrey M. Anderson It was lovely to see this masterpiece from Varda just after having interviewed her about her newest film The Gleaners and I. In Cleo, the title character waits around for two hours before meeting her doctor to hear whether or not she has cancer. Varda uses her documentary skills to take an objective approach to the material, rather than a sentimental one. It's amazing how much can happen in two hours.
