Wong Kar-wai's atmospheric second film Days of Being Wild finally makes its official U.S. premiere. The film has passionately divided audiences since its 1991 Hong Kong debut, winning several HK awards, but flopping at the box office. Leslie Cheung plays Luddy, an arrogant serial seducer who picks up and abandons women without a thought. When he seduces a beautiful shop girl (Maggie Cheung), it starts a La Ronde-like chain of events that significantly changes the lives of everyone involved, including co-stars Andy Lau and Tony Leung Chiu-wai. Wong's always-striking visual style (beautifully shot by cinematographer Christopher Doyle) uses floating, neon colors and extreme angles to emphasize disconnected souls.

DVD Details: Kino's beautiful 2004 DVD comes with a Wong Kar-wai trailer gallery, a stills gallery, filmographies and optional English subtitles.
