'Snatch' Making
By Jeffrey M. Anderson Buy Snatch on DVD. Madonna's new husband Guy Ritchie will surely gain a bigger audience for this film, his follow up to his indie hit Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. It's a twisting, witty, and wise crime-boxing story about the hunt for a huge diamond and a prizefighter who can't take a fall. The plot loops around and back in on itself, offering surprise after surprise. Most of the cast is carried over from the previous film, but Snatch adds delightful performances by Brad Pitt, Benicio Del Toro, Rade Sherbedgia, and Dennis Farina. Fans of the first film may find it's just more of the same, but all the same Snatch is sure to delight many.
