Buy Ali G Indahouse on DVD.

Many intelligent people I know love Ali G, but for me a little goes a long way. One of his TV sketches is plenty, but an entire episode -- let alone an 88-minute movie -- is overkill. Sacha Baron Cohen plays the white wannabe gangsta, and he does have some very funny, absurd moments, but Ali G Indahouse makes the mistake of introducing a plot and assuming we care about what happens in it. Ali G is elected to Parliament and becomes involved in an evil government plot to overthrow the Prime Minister (Michael Gambon). Gambon, Charles Dance and the gorgeous Rhona Mitra probably got paid a lot to be in this.
