Richard Lester (A Hard Day's Night) directed the raucous, sloppy, funny The Three Musketeers over the course of one summer, without telling anyone he was also making a sequel, The Four Musketeers. Luckily they were both hits, so no one got sued. It's easy to see how many of today's blockbusters are still influenced by Lester's touch. The huge cast includes Richard Chamberlain, Geraldine Chaplin, Faye Dunaway, Charlton Heston, Christopher Lee, Oliver Reed, a very funny Raquel Welch and Michael York. Both films are included on this Anchor Bay DVD.
