Most people hate this rambling, Robert Altman-directed comic strip movie, but I loved it as a kid and I still love it. Cartoonist Jules Feiffer wrote the screenplay, Harry Nilsson provided the wonderful songs, and Robin Williams gives a dead-on perfect interpretation of everyone's favorite Spinach-eating sailor. Best of all, no one in the history of movies has been better cast than Shelley Duvall as Olive Oyl. Paramount's new disc is letterboxed in 1-2.35, but contains no extras.
