More of the same, this sequel takes place in a high rise apartment building, where a television broadcast of a horror movie unleashes new demons among the residents. As in the first film, they spread their infections by scratching the skin. Monsters take over a birthday party, climb up an elevator shaft and attack a little boy who has been left home alone. One smaller demon resembles something from Gremlins. A nerdy guy in glasses and a suit whose wife is pregnant ends up becoming a Rambo-type hero, with a ripped shirt and bulging muscles. The pimp from the original Demons, Bobby Rhodes, returns here as a gym instructor. A young, 10 or 11 year-old Asia Argento also appears. Director Lamberto Bava and co-writer Dario Argento keep things just this side of ludicrous and the result is gory fun. The soundtrack is once again loaded with 1980s pop and metal songs.

DVD Details: Anchor Bay's 2007 DVD comes mastered in 16x9 anamoprhic widescreen for the first time. It includes a commentary track and trailers.
