The third of their four films together, Humphrey Bogart and Lauren
Bacall teamed up for one of the great San Francisco films, Dark
Passage (1947), based on David Goodis' novel. Bogart plays another
escaped convict (from Alcatraz) and Bacall helps him get plastic
surgery. Writer/director Delmer Daves initially directs the film from
Bogart's point of view and we don't see his face until afterwards.
