By Jeffrey M. Anderson Buy Voyage to the Beginning of the World on DVD. 90-year-old Manoel De Oliveira's Voyage to the Beginning of the World is a lovely look at memories, the past, and endings. Marcello Mastroianni, in his last role, is a movie director named Manoel on location in Portugal. Both he and his lead actor, Alfonso, take trips into their past; Manoel emotionally, and Alfonso literally, as he visits his elderly aunt for the first time. It's slightly talky, but beautifully autumnal, oddly relaxing and very moving.
