Jay Delaney directs this 63-minute documentary about two Bigfoot hunters, Dallas Gilbert and Wayne Burton. Though any filmmaker might have been tempted to make fun of them, Delaney clearly grows to love them, and captures a few moments of real heartbreak. The two old friends constantly struggle to get the world to pay attention to their findings -- a collection of suggestive, but ultimately inconclusive photographs and videos -- and as their finances become strained, Wayne makes a mistake that may cost them everything they've worked for. The film has a lot of "information" about Bigfoot, but though Delaney would clearly like to believe in him, the film wisely focuses on something more emotionally tangible. Oscilloscope Pictures released the 2009 DVD, with a commentary track, deleted scenes, photos, a short film, and Bigfoot tips.
