Night Junkies (2007)

Rating: 2 1/2 Stars (out of 4)

Overbite

By Jeffrey M. Anderson

Buy Night Junkies on DVD

This British vampire film, written and directed by Lawrence Pearce, is quite beautiful, professionally done and solidly acted. But its underlying theme of the vampire as a junkie, and that we're all addicted to something, is rather routine and has been well covered in this genre. In short, there's not much new here, but there is at least one good sex scene. Giles Alderson plays the male vampire who accidentally turns a stripper (Katia Winter) to the dark side; both leads are appealing. I liked Pearce's title screen, which reads "A Lawrence Pearce Flick."

DVD Details: The DVD from Allumination Filmworks comes with optional Spanish subtitles and trailers for this and other releases.
