The disgracefully handsome Gael Garcia Bernal makes his English-language debut (apart from the 2002 straight-to-video romantic comedy I'm with Lucy) in this quasi-romantic thriller. At a London bachelorette party (called a "Hen Night"), the beautiful Madrid-born bride-to-be (Natalia Verbeke) kisses Kit (Bernal) for luck. She suddenly finds herself uncontrollably attracted to him, while her wealthy, effete British fiancée (James D'Arcy) becomes increasingly concerned and morose. But all is not as it seems, as shown by the occasional snatches of voyeuristic videotape scattered throughout. Director Matthew Parkhill handles his clever premise well, until the big reveal, when the movie sinks into a lengthy epilogue with no soul.
