Director Lee Bonner used the idea for an all-surveillance camera film all the way back in 2003 with this excellent low-budget film. In it, two offscreen detectives sort through the surveillance footage of 21 cameras, trying to unravel what really happened during a robbery. The editing makes sense, as the story takes place in a limited space during a limited amount of time, and the film cleverly allows us to re-watch certain scenes armed with new knowledge. The film builds suspense and makes real characters out of all involved. The original title was Replay, changed to 21 Eyes for its 2006 DVD release.
