Sixteen year-old Nick (Jessie Eisenberg) travels to Manhattan to ask his lady-killer uncle Roger (Campbell Scott) for tips on how to score with women; the two head out for an instructive night on the town. Unfortunately, Roger is not on his best behavior, as his sexy boss (Isabella Rosellini) has just dumped him for another co-worker. Written and directed by first-timer Dylan Kidd, the film relies heavily on talk, but it's so juicy, aggravating, painful and funny that it succeeds wildly. And Kidd is wise enough to bring his heroes back down to reality before they spiral off into never-land.
